Lesson 17: The ‘Aqeedah (Creed) of al-Raaziyyaan – Uways at-Taweel
Points #23 & #24 of Aqeedah of al-Raziyyaan:
[23. And we establish the obligations of Jihad and Hajj alongside the Muslim Rulers in every time and age.]
[24. We do not hold it permissible to revolt against the Muslim Rulers and we do not fight in times of tribulation (fitnah); we hear and obey those who Allah has placed over our affairs (i.e. the rulers) and we do not remove ourselves from obedience to them.]
- How Ahl-us-Sunnah interact with those Rulers who Allah has placed in charge of the Muslims.
- The position of Ahl-us-Sunnah when there is in-fighting between the Muslims or against the rulers.
- Three levels of obedience to the Rulers and the command of the Prophet (sallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam) not to publicize their errors and to advise them privately (for those who are able).
- The great evil of the Khawaarij and their modern-day representations (such as Ikhwaan, al-Qaeda, etc.)
