Beautiful Advice of the Allāmah ‘Ubayd al-Jābirī (رحمه الله)

[من جميل نصائح شيخنا العلامة عبيد الجابري]

أوصي بالاهتمام بالعامة -عوام المسلمين- فإنهم إذا وجدوا من طالب العلم الرحمة والعطف والشفقة والتواضع والكرم والبشاشة أحبوه وكانوا معه، وإذا وجدوا فيه العنف والغلظة والجلافة نفروا منه، ونفر مَن وراءهم.

[From the beautiful pieces of advice of the Allāmah ‘Ubayd al-Jābirī]

He advised with paying attention (in the Daw’ah) to the general public – the common Muslims.

Because, if they (the common Muslims) find in the student of knowledge mercy, compassion, kindliness, humbleness, generosity, and cheerfulness, they will love him, be with him and hold on to him.

(However), if they find in him (the student of knowledge) harshness, sternness, and impoliteness, they (common Muslims) and those who follow them will flee from him.
